Masters Degree in Applied Coaching

Dynamic Creation™ Australia, in conjunction with The Performance Solution and the University of Derby Corporate, is proud to offer the MA in Applied Coaching.

This program is designed to provide students with the cognitive, critical and intellectual skills to become reflective coaching practitioners.  The program combines both practice and research to the standards of both international coaching professional bodies and higher education institutions.   It is the first post-graduate program in Coaching to be offered in Australia to recognise NLP as a coaching methodology.

The full MA program is delivered via a blend of written research and face to face workshops. This means that you can complete assignments from home and attend blocks of workshops, in modules.  Students set out their individual Learning Agreement at the beginning of the course, identifying module selections and time-frames for submission of assignments. This process enables you to negotiate the best means of meeting the requirements of study alongside work and family.

All of the workshop-based modules (NLP, Coaching Practice and Profile Accreditations) will be delivered by Dynamic Creation in face-to-face workshops in Perth in 2012.  Research and theoretical components will be delivered remotely by e-learning with the University of Derby.

An important aim of this program is to provide a course of study that enables professional accreditation from the International Coach Federation. Ensuring that students are eligible for Professional Certified Coach membership of the ICF supports the emerging needs of employers and clients of coaches.  The MA meets the requirements for professionally qualified and certificated coaches both nationally and internationally.

The course is designed to provide students with the ability to develop a wide range of skills and competencies that will prepare them for a variety of career opportunities, including professional executive coaching.  It also provides a route for return to study and acts as a foundation for those wishing to pursue a Coaching related Doctorate.

Depending on the level you wish to pursue, upon completion you will have either a Post Graduate Certificate, Post Graduate Diploma, or Masters Degree in Applied Coaching from the University of Derby. You will also have earned accreditations and certifications that are recognisable individually:

1. Coaching qualifications recognised by the Association for Coaching and International Coach Federation.
2. Accredited Consultant in two psychometric instruments - the iWAM (Inventory of Work Atttitudes and Motivations) and the Extended Disc Profile.
3. NLP qualifications (Practitioner and Master Practitioner) recognised by the International Association of NLP

In short the units are organised as follows;

The Post Graduate Certificate consist of the NLP Practitioner Certification and the Diploma of Professional Coach PGC.

The Post Graduate Diploma consist of NLP Master Practitioner and the Diploma of Professional Coach PGD or NLP Trainers Training

At the Master's level you'll finish with an independent study.

If you have already done any coach trainings and or NLP trainings you might be eligible for RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning).

The program can be completed either full or part-time. Full time students will complete the course in 1 year while part time students will complete in 2 years.
